More military successes for Ansar Al-Sharia and Al-Qaeda appoints new commanders

Militants of Ansar Al-Sharia seized a military location of the 119 infantry brigade in the Al-Harror region between Jaar and the district of Al-Malah in Lahj, and a military source confirmed that they have controlled the location and seized two tanks and weapons, and there were deaths and wounded on both sides.

The source added that military enforcements were sent by 201 mechanised brigade reached the area and the clashes are still going on. And that the militants transferred one of the tanks to Jaar while the other tank jammed on the way.

On the other hand, Ansar Al-Sharia mentioned that they have killed 30 soldiers.
And in Aden witnesses reported that militants attacked the headquarters of the naval base in Al-Tawahi city.

The witnesses said that they saw the marine soldiers going out from the base, stating that the militants have stationed in ‘Nashwan’ club and attacked the base with shells.

Also the witnesses added that the attack occurred when the convoy of the southern leader Mohammed Ali Ahmed, who returned from abroad, was passing by outside it, but sources assured that he wasn’t present in that convoy.

On the other hand, it has been reported that there has been new appointments in Al-Qaeda organization in Southern Yemen in place of the commanders martyred in the past months.

The sources mentioned that ‘Al-Khader Hussein Al-Jadaani’ was appointed Amir of Al-Qaeda in Abyan in place of Abdulmuneem Al-Fat’hani, and ‘Al-Hamza Mohammed Al-Shayba was appointed Amir for Al-Qaeda in Modiya in place of Suleiman Yusuf Ammar, and Adib Al-Nakha`î as Amir of Al-Qaeda in Lawdar.
