Sana’a regime warplanes shell Waqar in an attempt to fail the efforts to release the captured soldiers



Sana’a regime warplanes shelled today’s morning the Emirate of Waqar in the Wilayah of Abyan in an attempt to fail the mediation efforts between the civil delegations and Ansar Al-Sharia to release the captive soldiers.

The reporter of Madad agency in Waqar clarified that the warplanes shelled the 7 October factory area in the outskirts of the city without inflicting any ...material or human losses, stating that it comes in a time when the delegations of elders, Ulema, human rights organizations and the relatives of the captives and youth of the revolution began to arrive to the city to participate in the mediation with Ansar Al-Sharia to release the soldiers.

It is worthy to mention that the human rights organizations demanded the Sana’a regime and the American government not to shell Waqar on Friday and Saturday to preserve the lives of the delegations that participate in the mediation efforts.

Today the Amir of Ansar Al-Sharia Abu Bassir Nasir Al-Wuhayshi ordered the release of the captives of the Sana’a regime forces in the Emirate of Waqar in the Wilayah of Abyan southern Yemen.

A media source in Ansar Al-Sharia clarified that the decision of releasing the 73 prisoner from the Sana’a regime forces came after mediations of elders of the tribes and a group of Ulema who came to ...the Emirate of Waqar headed by Alim sheikh Awad Ba’Najar as well as human rights, relatives of the captives and youth of the Yemeni revolution delegations, notifying that mediators began to arrive since early morning to Waqar to meet Ansar Al-Sharia and request the release of the captive soldiers.

And he added that after the meeting with the delegations their request was presented to the Majlis Al-Shura of Ansar Al-Sharia which in turn presented the intercessions to Amir Nasir Al-Wuhayshi who ordered the release of the captive soldiers in honor of the visiting delegations, stating that the releasing of the soldiers will on Sunday at 8 am under the title “Go your way, for you are free”, also the source denied that the decision was as a result from pressure on Ansar Al-Sharia or for ransom.

It is worthy to mention that Ansar Al-Sharia had captured the soldiers of Sana’a in beginning of last May during the Ghazwa of Cutting the Tail which was launched by the mujahidin on the artillery detachment that was stationed in Dofas in the Wilayah of Abyan, which resulted in the death of almost 185 soldier and seizing of large quantities of various weapons and ammunition.
